The master's and doctoral programs are offered by the Electrical Engineering department. Always valuing and stimulating the international experience of teachers and students, the department houses modern laboratories and has a strong interaction with industries, companies and governmental agencies. The graduate programs provide a broad field of action, preparing students to engage in interdisciplinary activities in various sectors.
The department has close interaction with the undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, and Computer and Information Engineering at UFRJ. Its research topics focus on the following areas: Electronics; Control, Automation and Robotics; Electric Power Systems; Power Electronics; and Computational Intelligence.
