The master’s and doctoral programs are offered by the Chemical Engineering department. A pioneer in the country, it has modern laboratories and is characterized by innovation and vanguard in the area.
Students receive solid training in chemical engineering sciences with a focus on solving problems related to areas of socioeconomic impact, which allows them to work in the industrial, academic and governmental sectors.
The department develops projects in partnership with industries and companies, both national and foreign. Its research lines focus on the following areas: Catalysis; Polymer Engineering; Interfacial Phenomena; Modeling, Simulation and Process Control; Biotechnological Processes and Environmental Technology; Separation Processes with Membranes and Polymers; Applied Thermodynamics; and Thermofluidodynamics.
